The Low Farm VegBox Company was created by Lee and Jayne Singleton, who live with their children at Low Farm, which is where the majority of the vegetables and salad are grown.

They have been involved in the business of selling fruit and vegetables for nearly a decade, since they started running their greengrocers in Hornsea.

Sourcing locally grown vegetables and salad was becoming increasingly difficult. Lee had always had allotments since being a teenager and loved growing vegetables using traditional methods, so he decided to solve the problem himself.

Three years ago the family purchased Low Farm and Lee began his long held dream of market gardening. However, this presented Lee with a new problem. From having difficulty sourcing locally grown produce, the farm was producing too much truly seasonal vegetables and salad which was all ready at the same time. This led onto the idea of creating a VegBox service.

Now people across Hull and East Riding can lower their own carbon footprint and eat fresher, high quality seasonal vegetables and salad at a better price than they would normally pay at their supermarket and have the convenience of having the VegBox delivered at a time convenient to them.
